Hypnotherapy For An Organized Home
I have been utilizing hypnotherapy for the past 15 years to help me with a variety of ADHD related issues, and it’s been incredibly effective. I’ve been referring my clients to the wonderful hypnotherapists that I’ve worked with. I recently completed Paul McKenna’s Hypnotherapy Certification through Mind Valley. This intensive course has taught me so much, and I can now proudly say that I’m a Certified Hypnotherapist! If you’re curious about learning more, keep reading.
What Is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy (or hypnosis- I use these words interchangeably) is a deep state of relaxation that involves the mind and body. It is used to help people make behavioral changes. Milton Erickson, legendary hypnotherapist, describes hypnosis as “the loss of the multiplicity of the foci of attention.” What you focus on will shape your thoughts and feelings. For example, watching TV (to the exclusion of other things in the room) will put someone into a trance. Once in a tranced state, your thoughts and feelings will be influenced by the content on the TV. Through hypnotic trance in a hypnotherapy session, we can bypass the conscious mind so the subconscious mind can be influenced positively.
During a hypnotherapy session, I will guide you through a relaxation process. Once you are relaxed, I will use visualization techniques to work with your subconscious mind to help you achieve the results you want to achieve. You will be able to hear everything I say, and you will not lose control of your words. You will be able to wake up out of the trance whenever you would like.
I will also be incorporating Reiki and other energy healing techniques into the hypnotherapy work I do.

Why It Works
Your subconscious mind is the part of your mind that is responsible for your wisdom, memories, and intelligence. It regulates your bodily processes like breathing, blood circulation, and tissue regeneration. It’s the seat of emotions and directs nearly all of your behavior. It’s also the part of your mind that wants to keep things the same. It doesn’t like change. Once in a hypnotic trance, the mind is at a heightened state of suggestibility, and so will be more receptive to positive suggestions. Through hypnotherapy, we can communicate with the subconscious mind to clear blocks and find solutions so that you can achieve your goals.
Is Hypnotherapy For Everyone?
No. I am trained in hypnotherapy, but I am not a psychologist or mental health therapist. I do not treat eating disorders, PTSD, or other major mental health conditions. Please consult your doctor if you are unsure if hypnotherapy is suitable for you.
