Sara’s Simple Solutions
“I’ve just solved a long frustrating problem with Command Hooks!” Along with Sara’s text to me came a photo of her candy-apple-red KitchenAid mixer, now perfectly tidy, with all the attachments hanging neatly behind it. I love how Sara can find simple solutions without needing to buy a bunch of fancy stuff.
She and I both believe in using what you already have. Sure, we appreciate the aesthetic of matching bins and picture-perfect pantries, but at the end of the day, function always trumps perfection. A system that works, one that makes your day easier, reduces stress, and fits your real life, will always win over something that just looks good for photos.
That’s what I love about organizing with Sara. She finds beauty in practicality and joy in progress. Her approach reminds me that solutions don’t have to be complicated. Sometimes all it takes is a fresh perspective, a few Command Hooks, and a little creativity.
Simple Wins, Big Impact
You don’t need to overhaul your entire home to make it feel more functional. Often, it’s the smallest adjustments that make the biggest difference:
- Hanging mixer attachments instead of letting them clutter drawers
- Repurposing baskets and containers you already own
- Decluttering one small shelf instead of trying to do the whole room
- Reimagining awkward storage spots (like under the sink!) for better flow
When you focus on small wins, your confidence builds… and before long, you start seeing possibilities everywhere.
Simple Steps to a More Organized Bathroom
The bathroom might be one of the smallest rooms in the house, but it’s often one of the most chaotic. Half-used products, expired toiletries, tangled cords, and crowded drawers can make even simple routines feel stressful. Taking time to declutter and organize your bathroom is a small act of self-care that creates calm for the rest of your day. Start by letting go of anything you don’t use or love- old lotions, makeup, and empty bottles can go. Group similar items together, use bins or baskets to contain them, and give each daily essential a clear home. When everything has its place, your mornings flow more smoothly and your evenings end with ease. A well-organized bathroom isn’t just tidy, it’s restorative. It becomes a space that supports you instead of overwhelming you, helping you start and end each day with clarity and peace.
Organizing Isn’t About More Stuff
Many people think organizing means buying bins and labels before sorting anything. But real organization begins with clarity: knowing what you have, what you need, and what actually supports your life. Sara’s simple solution is the perfect reminder that you can create order and ease with what’s already in your home.
A Gentle Challenge
This week, try looking around your space and spotting one small frustration, the thing you’ve “just been living with.” Then channel your inner Sara and ask, “What can I do with what I already have?”
You might be surprised by how satisfying it feels to solve an everyday problem with a touch of creativity. After all, simple solutions often bring the biggest sparkle.
