Sara’s July Update

One of the many things I admire about Sara is her resilience, flexibility, and love of travel. She can shift from one activity to the next (or even from one home to another) with ease and a smile on her face. That adaptability is one of the many reasons we work so well together at Seattle Sparkle. I tend to be more sensitive to transitions, and I’ve learned a lot by watching how Sara navigates change with such grace. For many people, adjusting to change — whether it’s a big move, travel, or even just a break in routine — can feel deeply unsettling. But these are skills that can be developed. If you struggle with change, a consultation with Sara may be just what you need. She can share how she’s supported her family through major transitions, even when each person has very different needs and preferences.
Adjusting to change can be hard — especially for those of us who thrive on structure, routine, and a sense of control. Whether it’s a shift in seasons, a new home, or simply a weekend away, even small changes can feel disorienting. Travel, in particular, can throw us off balance: new surroundings, disrupted sleep, unfamiliar foods, and a lack of our usual comforts. But with the right support and a few key strategies, it is possible to become more resilient. Learning how to ground yourself in unfamiliar environments and ease transitions — both mentally and physically — can make change feel less like chaos and more like growth.
July has been a full month for Sara, as her family moved back into their dream home after living in an investment property for 2.5 years. Moving is so much work, but it feels amazing to be closing this chapter of house hacking and be back in her home! Their trampoline is moved and set up, and they are nearly unpacked. She will be using her organizing skills to go back through things and make sure all rooms are optimized so everyone can find what they need. Sara empathizes with clients even more so now, as she is in the thick of decision making about all the objects her family owns – what to keep and where things should live. The biggest challenge is figuring out where to put all the fabric she bought when Joann’s was going out of business…
Sara’s hobby of entering contests has been very fruitful this month with her biggest win yet – a 3-day trip to Austin TX to attend the MLS soccer all-star game! Sara got to reconnect with a college friend who lives in Austin and enjoy a corner room at the Fairmont! The game was so much fun, with field access beforehand and lots of fanfare. She also got to see a Thomas Dambo troll!
Both her sons are at sleepaway camp this week and she and her husband are enjoying a sort of second honeymoon- spending time hiking and swimming in Whistler and planning on a whale watching cruise in the San Juan Islands.
Whether she’s organizing a cross-country move, winning contests, or planning her next adventure, Sara brings a sense of joy and capability to everything she does. Her ability to stay grounded through life’s transitions is something we can all learn from. If you’re navigating change — big or small — and want support from someone who truly understands the process, reach out to Sara. She’s not just skilled at organizing spaces; she’s brilliant at helping people feel at home in their lives again.
